Scientific journal
Since 1957 Vilnius University Faculty of Law has published a journal “VU mokslo darbai. Teisė” (VU scientific papers. Law) that represents the science of law in Lithuania and abroad. It is a quarterly publication that is issued in the run of a few hundred copies in which articles by the representatives of the main Lithuanian and foreign educational bodies and various legal institutions are published in Lithuanian and other languages.
The editorial board of “Law” consists of actively working Lithuanian and foreign scholars who ensure high quality of the published articles (the articles are reviewed by two anonymous reviewers). Articles that do not meet formal requirements set for academic articles but are in fact written on a relevant topic and from the point of view of the content are of interest and value to lawyers and others interested in law, are published in the special section of “Law” called “Current legal issues”.
The publication “Law” is included into the list of scientific publications in which articles receive recognition by providing academic degree and which is confirmed by the Division of Science under Ministry of Education and Science. Its circulation is carried out by the public enterprise “Vilniaus universiteto leidykla” (Vilnius University Publishing House), it is possible to subscribe for it in all Lithuanian post offices (issue index – 5294).
