Although the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases have long been used by members of the VU community and have become an integral part of everyday academic work, the AI tools integrated into these databases are a recent addition this year. The VU Library invites members of the VU community to try out the new features of these databases.
Web of Science Research Assistant is a tool based on generative AI and content indexed in the Web of Science database, designed for searching and analyzing scholarly literature. Users can formulate queries in natural language, prepare literature reviews, obtain detailed answers to research questions, explore both emerging and established research topics, visualize results, and identify suitable journals for publication.
Scopus AI is an integrated search tool based on generative artificial intelligence and content indexed in the Scopus database. Scopus AI generates answers to questions asked in natural language, provides summaries of topics of interest, identifies key publications and experts in a given field, creates interactive concept maps, and suggests additional queries for deeper topic analysis.
The WoS Research Assistant and Scopus AI tools are accessible within the VU network and can also be used remotely via the VU FortiClient VPN service.
