NOHA is an international association of universities that aims to enhance professionalism in the humanitarian sector. Since 2021, in collaboration with the Lithuanian National Non-Governmental Development Cooperation Organisations’ Platform (Lithuanian NGDO Platform), Vilnius University Faculty of Law has annually organized online training sessions on humanitarian action.
The course is aimed at civil servants, professionals from international and civil society organisations, and others engaged in humanitarian action who seek to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills. The training offers a multidisciplinary perspective on contemporary humanitarian challenges through expert lectures and interactive workshop, participants will gain an understanding of the multidimensional challenges and responsibilities inherent in humanitarian efforts.
The programme addresses key issues such as ethics and transparency in humanitarian action, the use of artificial intelligence, and the integration of intersectional gender perspectives in humanitarian programming. Participants will also explore the role of faith‑based organisations, community resilience, and the impact of international sanctions and humanitarian exemptions in complex operational environments. The course brings together academic expertise and practitioner perspectives, encouraging critical reflection on responsible and accountable humanitarian practice in today’s evolving humanitarian landscape.

Fee: EUR 200 must be paid until 22 May 2026 (payment details will be submitted after the registration). Cancellation fee will be reimbursed for valid reasons.
Lithuanian NGDO Platform will provide limited amount of full participation fee covering scholarships for NGO representatives from Lithuanian and EU13 countries, Eastern Partnership region countries. A fee discount may be applied to the VU community.
Certificates: participants will be awarded with a certificate from NOHA and Vilnius University.
