Lithuanian and comparative constitutional law, constitutional justice, constitutional judicial procedure, individual constitutional complaint, human rights, legal protection of vulnerable groups, gender equality, European Union law.

Main scientific and research projects

  • 2020-2022 leading expert and participant of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of State Bodies and Local Level Referral Mechanisms to Provide Safety and Support to Victims of Domestic Violence in Azerbaijan”. The project was financed by the European Commission. More information about the project.
  • 2020-2022 postdoctoral trainee in the project “Individual Constitutional Complaint in Lithuania: the New Constitutional Institute as an Effective Tool for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms” (No.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-19-0008). The project is financed by the European Social Fund.
  • 2020-2022 country expert and participant of the project “Limitations of Judicial Power Imposed on Legislators in Europe: 1990-2020” (JUDICON-EU). The project was funded by the National University of Public Service (Hungary).

Significant expert activity, membership

  • Since 2024 expert in the European Horizon Committee on Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society.
  • Since 2023 Science and Innovation Adviser to the Lithuanian Science Council, acting at the Ministry of Justice.
  • Since 2023 member to the Judicial Officers’ Court of Honour
  • Since 2022 member of Young Academy of Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
  • 2018-2019 member of the working group established by order of the Minister of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania for the preparation of the joint report V-VI on the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Protection of the Rights of the Child.
  • 2014-2015 member of the working group established by the decision of the Seimas Board for the draft law on amending the Law on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania.

Awards

  • 2021 received the Vilnius University Rector’s award for the best lecturer at the Faculty of Law.
