10 June Viktorija Šelmienė, Chairperson of the District Court of Vilnius City, and her deputies Giedrė Norvilienė and Jan Maciejevski visited the Vilnius University (VU) Law Faculty. During the visit, the guests met with the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr Haroldas Šinkūnas, and the Vice-Dean for Studies, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vigita Vėbraite.
As a result of this meeting, an official cooperation agreement was signed between the largest court in Lithuania and Vilnius University, which was sealed by the signatures of the Chairperson of the District Court of Vilnius City, Viktorija Šelmienė, and the Dean of the VU Law Faculty, Haroldas Šinkūnas.
The agreement provides for mutually beneficial joint activities and joint commitments to develop long-term mutual relations and promote cooperation in the fields of studies and research. The Court intends to advise the partners in the development and updating of study programmes, to host students of the Law Faculty for professional internships, to suggest themes for the defence of students’ final master’s theses, and to participate in institutional tutoring activities.
