On December 2, the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LAS) elected ten new members of the Young Academy. Among them is Assist. Prof. Dr Jurgis Bartkus, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University (VU).
Assist. Prof. Dr J. Bartkus’ areas of scientific interests include evidence and proof, arbitration law, civil procedure law, legal argumentation, and decision-making in court.
In accordance with the regulations of the LMA Young Academy, members of the Academy are elected for a four-year term.
Upon the end of their term, they become alumni of the LMA Young Academy.
The new members of the LMA Young Academy will be presented with certificates and symbols at the electoral general meeting of LMA members to be held on December 16.
