Baltic Criminology Seminar “Simplification of Justice: perspectives for criminology”

3-4 July the 27th Baltic Criminology Seminar “Simplification of Justice: perspectives for criminology”, co-organised this year by the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, took place in Vilnius on July 7 and 7 July.
The Baltic Criminology Seminar is an annual event bringing together scholars from the Baltic States and other European and world countries. Criminologists from Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, the UK, Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the Department of Criminal Justice Assoc. Prof. Dr Ilona Michailovič, Assoc. Prof. Dr Gintautas Sakalauskas and Dr Giulia Lausi participated in this year’s seminar.
The international event included discussions on criminal policy, gender-based violence, criminal behaviour of young people and other topical issues. Inter-institutional cooperation, community involvement in crime prevention and other topical issues in criminology were discussed.
