Main scientific and research projects

  • Since 2022 leads a group of Lithuanian national law experts/researchers in the international scientific research and pilot research interdisciplinary project “Conflict Resolution with Equitative Algorithms – CREA 2”. The project is financed by the European Commission.
  • Since 2022 leads a group of Lithuanian national law experts/researchers in the international scientific research and pilot research interdisciplinary project “Small Claims Analysis Net – SCAN II”. The project is financed by the European Commission.
  • 2021-2022 led a group of Lithuanian national law experts/researchers in the international research project EFFORTS “Towards more efficient enforcement of requirements in civil and commercial cases”. The project is financed by the European Commission.

Significant expert activity, membership

  • Since 2020 member of the working group of e-justice experts (CEPEJ-GT-CYBERJUST) of the Justice Efficiency Commission of the Council of Europe.
  • Since 2019 chairman of the Commission for Qualification Examinations of State Mediators of the Republic of Lithuania.
  • 2019-2020 member of the Working Group on Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) of the Legal Cooperation Committee of the Council of Europe.
  • 2006-2007 and 2017-2019 chairman of the Working Group on Mediation of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ-GT-MED).
  • 2003-2008 chairman of the Board of the Alumni Society of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, since 2008 – Council Member.
  • Since 2006 member of the Lithuanian Bar Association.
  • Since 2006 international mediation and e-justice expert in the Council of Europe cooperation development projects.
