A unique birthday celebration of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University is due in October! Outstanding researchers from the United States of America, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Lithuania will flock together to give presentations, cooperate and share their expertise. The most prominent Lithuanian researchers involved in analyzing digital challenges in law will also present their findings. The purpose of the conference is to discuss today’s essential scientific and practical problems related to the concept of digital property in law, current and future regulations, specifics determined by digital technologies.

We’ll be receiving a prominent academician and researcher Professor Natalie Banta Lynner from Drake University who explores the problematic issues of digital assets in her articles. She will deliver a special presentation on acute issues of the inheritance of digital assets.

Another attractive presentation will be delivered by Professor Matthias Haentjens, Head of the Department of Civil Law, Leiden University. The professor is involved in the activities of the Digital Property and Private Law Working Group of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) and in the legislative drafting of the principles of regulation of digital property.
