The round-table discussion will aim to discuss three fundamental elements related to ethical questions raised in the context of emerging technologies:
1) Values (In what extent we shape technologies according to our values and how do we adjust our values to the new reality?)
2) Institutional capacities (Do we have institutional capacities to cope with ethical challenges related to the development of biomedicine, neurosciences, nanotechnologies and information technologies?
3) Law-making efforts (To what extent technology assessment should be introduced in the agenda of our law-making authorities?)
