An open lectures concerning the antitrust and competition law in the EU and the USA will start at the beginning of April, 2019. The lectures will be delivered by a law professional, visiting professor Mark Leddy. The professor’s practice focuses on U.S. and European antitrust law, the analysis of competitive issues in mergers and acquisitions, and appearances before antitrust regulatory agencies and the federal courts in civil and criminal litigation.
This course will offer an informative survey of the world’s two leading competition regimes. Classes will include a discussion of the main features of each regime and highlight their similarities and differences. Other nations’ enforcement regimes and policies, e.g., Lithuania and China, will also be addressed. The basic principles of industrial organization economics will be summarized.
During Easter holidays (14-19 of April) the lectures will not take place.
