Assoc. Prof. Dr. J. Usonis Participated in Discussions in Latvia and Spoke about Lithuanian Social Model

On 14th December, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Justinas Usonis participated in a round table discussion “Flexicurity: A Model for Building a Modern Economy and Labour Market in Latvia” that took place in the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, Riga.

Colleagues from Denmark and Latvia (speakers in the programme) actively participated in the discussion. Also, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia and Minister for Economic Affairs Arvils Ašeradens were interested in the latest trends in Flexicurity, as well as in social policy news in Lithuania and Denmark. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Justinas Usonis made a presentation and shared his experience in developing Lithuania’s social model. During the event, problems of regional social dialogue, employment incentives, labour law, illegal work, Uber problems and more were discussed.
