Call for papers for the 9th ECLAN PhD Seminar on European Criminal Justice

The European Criminal Law Academic Network is proud to announce the 9th ECLAN PhD Seminar on European Criminal Justice to be held in Vilnius on 28-29 January 2021. The Seminar will be organised by the ECLAN and Vilnius University Faculty of Law.

The European Criminal Law Academic Network is proud to announce the 9th ECLAN PhD Seminar on European Criminal Justice to be held in Vilnius on 28-29 January 2021. The Seminar will be organised by the ECLAN and Vilnius University Faculty of Law.

The ECLAN PhD seminar will provide a friendly environment in which PhD candidates can gain experience in presenting their research, learn from each other’s research and develop contacts with other researchers in their field. This PhD seminar aims to gather together PhD candidates working in the field of EU criminal law and holding a degree in law, political science or international studies.

The application should encompass:

  • A CV with full contact details;
  • An indication of the starting date and envisaged end date of the PhD thesis;
  • A short paper on the chosen topic, presenting the research subject and methodology, including conclusions (maximum: 5 pages);
  • An abstract of the research subject and methodology (maximum: 1 page).

Unfortunately, travel and accommodation expenses linked to participation in the PhD seminar cannot be covered. However, the organisers will provide logistical support to PhD students in order to identify the best means to reach the venue as well as accommodation solutions. In case of possible COVID-19 restrictions, the Seminar would take place physically and (or) virtually through MS Teams program.
