First school of Lithuanian Law has been opened at Szczecin University

On the 17th of November School of Lithuanian Law was officially opened at Szczecin University. It is first such school in Poland. One hundred students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Szczecin University will have the opportunity to listen to lectures on various branches of Lithuanian law. Cooperation agreement between Vilnius and Szczecin universities was also signed during the opening event. It was signed by Vilnius University Pro-Rector for Partnerships dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas and Rector of the University of Szczecin prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński. In addition, during the event, the Rector of Vilnius University prof. dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas gave a short online lecture „Union of Lublin and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth” and the students were greeted by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Szczecin Wiesław Wierzchoś and on of the initiators of the Lithuanian Law School prof. habil. dr. Vytautas Nekrošius.
After the opening, the first lecture for the students of the School of Lithuanian Law was delivered by the Vice Dean for Studies of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University assoc. prof. dr. Vigita Vėbraitė.
