The Francophonie Day – Discussion on the Implementation of Justice in the EU

On Thursday afternoon, the French Law Center at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University gathered together foreign and Lithuanian francophone scholars in the scientific workshop on “Justice of the EU in the context of a global multicultural society”, which took place in the UNESCO gallery in Vilnius. The francophone event was symbolically held on the International Francophonie Day, and it commemorated the 375th anniversary of the founding of VU Faculty of Law.

A number of guests came to discuss the implementation of justice in the European Union, namely, Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union prof. Dr. Egidijus Jarašiūnas and Judge of the European Union General Court prof. dr. Egidijus Bieliūnas from Luxembourg, as well as scholars from Vilnius University, Mykolas Romeris University and the University of Latvia.
