VU Faculty of Law participates in the project to modernise study programmes in Belarus and Ukraine

On the 29th of April – 1st of May dr. Paulius Veršekys (Criminal Law Department) and Laura Naimovičiūtė (Science and Innovation Department)  – the representatives of the Faculty of Law participated at the Kick-Off/Initial Conference at Karl Franzens University of Graz.

The main goal of this meeting was the presentation of the Erasmus+ project, introduction of the partners and discussion of the first steps towards implementing the project “Modernisation of Master Programmes for Future Judges, Prosecutors, Investigators with Respect to European Standard on Human Rights“.

The aim of the project is bringing the best efforts of EU and Partner Countries Universities to the task of modernising the system of higher legal education in Belarus and Ukraine according to Bologna principles. The overall goal is to bring an integrated rights-based training to criminal justice by establishing specialised master programmes for future judges, prosecutors and investigators.
