Vytautas Mizaras, Professor of the Department of Private Law in The VU Law Faculty and Judge of The Constitutional Court, was awarded on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Austria. J. E. Yvonne Tončić-Sorinj, Ambassador of the Austria in Lithuania, gave in an honorable award – medal “Silver badge of honor for services to the Republic of Austria” for prof. dr. V. Mizaras.
Prof. dr. V. Mizaras has been Honorary Consul of the Republic of Austria, later he became Judge of The Constitutional Court. While being Honorary Consul he sought to help citizens of the Republic of Austria, which permanently or temporarily lived in Lithuania, he accomplished consular actions and took a part in publicizing culture and business of Austria in Lithuania.
Republic of Austria dedicates this honorable award by seeking to honor persons, deserved to the state. The Government selects who will get the award, which is dedicated by the President of Austria.
