Congratulations to prof. dr. Jonas Prapiestis, head of the Department of Criminal Justice in VU Law Faculty, who was designated as the member and chairman of the Selection Commission for Candidates for Judges. As well prof. dr. J. Prapiestis is the Signatory of the Act of Lithuania Independence, he was the judge in the Supreme Court of Lithuania and the minister of Justice.
The Selection Commission for Candidates for Judges is concluded for three years and has seven persons. The Council of Judges dedicates three members and the President dedicates four persons.
