Researchers won the EURIZON program invitation project

 

Congratulations to the VU Law Faculty researchers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilona Michailovič, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vygantė Milašiūtė, who, together with Ukrainian researchers from Yaroslav Mudryi National University of Kharkiv, have won the project “Protection of the Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Time of War in Ukraine and Limits of Derogation in Time of Emergency” in the call for proposals of the EURIZON Program “Remote Research Fellowships”.

The aim of this project is to investigate the compliance of Ukrainian criminal procedure and criminal law with the rule of law in times of emergency. The research will be carried out by Ukrainian investigators and supported by I. Michailovič and V. Milašiūtė.

EURIZON program “Remote Research Fellowships“ is intended for research teams working in Ukraine with European partners. These grants are intended for researchers and other staff of Ukrainian research institutes to continue their activities remotely, carrying out research projects in collaboration with European research partners. EURIZON is the second phase of the four-year Horizon 2020 programme, which started in February 2020. More information about the program.
