Students of the VU Law Faculty – winners of the competition “Moot Court”

March 10 The Tax Disputes Commission hosted the “Moot Court” competition event “Tax dispute up close”, in which four (out of eleven) finalist teams of law students from Vilnius and Mykolas Romeris universities competed. The first place winners were the students of the VU Law Faculty: Kamilė Baranauskaitė and Virginija Baranauskaitė. Congratulations winners!

The event, organized by PwC and VMI, featured staging of tax disputes, where students could experience what it is like to be in the place of a tax administrator or taxpayer in a dispute. Students were randomly assigned the role of a tax payer or VMI (State Tax Inspectorate), which they had to defend. Members of the Tax Disputes Commission listened to the arguments of the participants and chose the winner of the dispute.

Record of the event is here.
