On the eve of Vilnius university’s (VU) 444th birthday, we would like to invite you to participate in the “Scientific Sprint” competition on MARCH 30, 18:00-21:00 at Artistai (Šv. Kazimiero str. 3)!
This scientific communication event requires participants to present their research or scientific idea they find fascinating in 3 minutes. The authors of the best presentations will be awarded cash prizes. The teams chosen to compete will be able to participate in a special training course.
The competition will involve teams of 2 people: a member of the academic staff and a student. Each team must present a research idea or scientific interest in 3 minutes. We kindly invite you to form these teams, consisting of a student from any academic year and area of study and a member of the academic staff. Teams should consist of a student at any level and a lecturer(s) or researcher(s). Once you have received your team member’s agreement, please register your team before 3 March. All teams will receive an offer to participate in the training course.
CONDITIONS
Contestants will have up to 3 minutes to present: their own or other scientists’ research OR a scientific idea that fascinates them.
There will be a jury panel comprised of representatives from various scientific fields and the media, who will consider the relevance of the research or idea, scientific accuracy, clarity of the message and the ability to speak about science in an entertaining fashion Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
