The prestigious publishing house “Intersentia” has published an analysis by Professor Dr Ramūnas Birštonas

The prestigious publishing house “Intersentia” has published an analysis of Lithuanian practical situations from the perspective of national legal regulation, case law and legal doctrine written by Professor Ramūnas Birštonas of the VU Law Faculty, in a collective monograph “Boundaries of Information Property”.

Professor focuses on the historically specific features of the development of Lithuanian law, especially those related to the Soviet period and the transition period after the declaration of independence, which allow to reveal and explain many unique features of Lithuanian law.

“Boundaries of Information Property” is published as an edition of the oldest (started in 1993) and one of the best-known projects on comparative European law –  publication “The Common Core of European Private Law”. The project is characterised by a search for commonalities between different European jurisdictions, which are presented through the analysis of concrete practical cases – both hypothetical and based on actual cases or situations. The book is intended to assess aspects of property law not in relation to traditional, tangible property, but in relation to information or, as it were, “information property”.
