Discussion „Cases against Lithuania in European Court of Human Rights“

Cases of Lithuania losing cases at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) are constantly being reported in the media. Do Lithuanians really tend to litigate in the Strasbourg court and do they really lose these cases more often than they win? These issues are discussed on 19th of February, 2020 in the discussion “Cases against Lithuania at the European Court of Human Rights” held at the Faculty of Law of VU. Insights were shared by ECHR judge Prof. Egidijus Kūris, lawyer prof. Vytautas Mizaras and the representative of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania at the ECHR Dr. Karolina Bubnytė-Širmenė.
