Student Scientific Society Conference “SMD 2016”
On 4th-5th of February, 2016 the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University started the new semester and the jubilee 375th year of the faculty with the “Spring of Legal Science” which has become a beautiful tradition.
On February 5th the annual conference of the Student Scientific Society “SMD 2016” was held. The students of the faculty presented the results of their independent research to the academic community, and were also ceremoniously presented with the Scholarships named after Prof. Dr. Jonas Žeruolis.
Scholarships awarded:
- to Arpine Babayan for the article “Implementation of the right of self-determination of European nations in the 21st century”;
- to Martyna Budnikaitė for the article “Freedom of scientific research and the idea of personal autonomy: problems of legal regulation of the consent of vulnerable persons to participate in biomedical research in Lithuania”;
- to Simona Budreikaitė for the article “Origin, significance of the business decision-making rule and its consolidation in Lithuanian court practice”;
- to Simona Venskutė for the article “Legal and criminological aspects of child trafficking”.
On this day, there was also a round – table discussion for doctoral students “Main mistakes in preparing scientific publications and dissertations”, in which participated Prof. Dr. Armanas Abramavičius, Prof. Dr. Tomas Davulis, Prof. Dr. (HP) Vytautas Mizaras and Prof. Habil. Dr. Gintaras Švedas.
