International conference “Interdisciplinary Approach to Law in Modern Social Context 2016”
On 21-22 April 2016, VU Faculty of Law hosted the 4th International Conference of PhD students and young legal scholars for discussing the “Interdisciplinary approach to Law in modern social context”.
The Conference addressed a variety of topics relevant not only to lawyers, but also to other professionals. Separate sections were dedicated for legal and economic relations, the influence of modern high-tech and biotechnology on the contemporary law, the most recent interdisciplinary trends in the current international, criminal or labour law. More than forty doctoral students from Lithuania, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, France, Russia, Ukraine, Germany presented their papers.
This conference is one of the major annual events held by the International Network of Doctoral Studies in Law, which was founded by Vilnius University Faculty of Law, Frankfurt am Main J.W. Goethe University Faculty of Law, Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense University Faculty of Law and Lodz University.
