The Spring of Law Science 2015
On 4-5 February 2015, the spring semester at Vilnius University Faculty of Law started with a nice tradition – scientific events cycle “The Spring of Law Science”. A crowd of participants was welcomed by the Lithuanian Minister of Justice dr. Juozas Bernatonis, VU Faculty of Law Dean prof. dr. Tomas Davulis and President of the Conference, Head of the Department of Public Law assoc. prof. dr. Haroldas Šinkūnas.
The first part of the event was dedicated to the national conference “The Idea of the Constitution, Common European Law and the Constitutional Tradition of Lithuania”, which this year was organized by the Department of Public Law. Conference was aimed at analysing the development of the constitutionality and the constitutional tradition, doctrine and sources in Lithuania. The reports were presented by the scientists from Vytautas Magnus University Faculty of Law, Mykolas Romeris University Faculty of Law and Vilnius University Faculty of Law.
On 5 February, VU Faculty of Law hosted the annual Student Scientific Society Conference SSC 2015. Faculty students presented their individual research results to the academic community. Also, the Faculty’s Alumni Society awarded 4 students Laurynas Totoraitis, Edgaras Margevičius, Indrė Ambrasūnaitė and Gražina Rutkevič with the Memorial Scholarship of Professor Jonas Zeruolis.
