International seminar “Constitutional consciousness as a tool for solving the issues of discourse crisis and lack of democracy in the European Union”

On 8th of April 2022 the international seminar “Constitutional consciousness as a tool for solving the issues of discourse crisis and lack of democracy in the European Union” was held.

During this international scientific seminar, the European identity and the constitutional consciousness of the citizens were discussed, it was said that the constitutional consciousness of the citizens is the basis of the European identity. The seminar discussed the perspectives of the protection of individual rights, without excluding the possibility of pluralism of values in Europe. Reports on the right to a legal remedy in cases of freedom of expression, disciplinary responsibility of judges, effective judicial protection according to EU law, national specificity were presented. Lithuanian and Polish scientists and judges participated in the seminar, which was dedicated to presenting the results of the joint Lithuanian and Polish science project DAINA.
