International Conference “How Deep is Your Law? Brexit. Technologies. Modern conflicts”

On 27th-28th of April, 2017 the 5th international conference of PhD students and young researchers took place at Vilnius University Faculty of Law. This year conference “How Deep is Your Law? Brexit. Technologies. Modern conflicts” was devoted to analyse events and problems which could shape and influence the legal, political and economic future of many regions of the world and the topics were relevant not only for lawyers, but also for representatives of other professions.

Themes of presentations span from legal problems to trigger Brexit to possible effects of Brexit for Eastern European countries; from protection of privacy in social networks to challenges of E-waste; from hybrid wars to impact of counterterrorism for human rights in Africa. More than 40 participants from Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and United Kingdom participated in the conference. The electronic publication was published after the conference.

This conference was one of the main events of The International Network of Doctoral Studies in Law, which was founded by Vilnius University Faculty of Law, Frankfurt am Main J.W. Goethe University Faculty of Law, Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense University Faculty of Law and Lodz University Faculty of Law and Administration.
